    It was a cold winters night and it happened to be the fair of Borrisokane.
    The bank manager of the place was going home late with a great deal of money in his possession.
    A couple of robbers lay in wait for him and sprang out from under a bush as he was passing by, knocked him down and robbed him.
    He was stunned for some time and when he came to, found that he was penneless. That is how the came to be known as the "Robber's Bush."
