    The following are a few of the past local pishrogues:-
    (a) Some time ago, if a man met a red haired woman on his way to a fair he would turn back as he thought it was an omen of bad luck.
    (b) It was also believed that a person entering by the front door of a house would bring all luck from that house if he left by another door
    (c) The seventh son of a family, was beleived to have a cure for ringworm
    (d) It used to be believed that if a person went into a house and they churning, he would bring away the butter if he didn't give a hand at (it) the work
