  1. Blackfallow is in the parish of Ardcarne and in the barony of Boyle. There are four families in it and the total amount of people is twelve. The family names are Ryan, MacDermottroe, Clancy and Wynne. Three of the houses are slated and the other one is thatched. There are two ruins of old houses in it. Willy Reilly lived in one of them and Owen Kilmartin lived in the other one.
