    Leylands. Golden is the most common family name. There is a population of twenty one people in the townland.

  2. Cartron is in the parish of Ardcarne and in the Barony of Boyle. There are nine families in it and there are twenty four people living in it. "Sibey" Devaney and John Monaghan and Peggy Hunt lived where John Duignan lives now in three little thatched houses. They are dead about fifty years. Between Michael Cullen's house and the glabe Biddy Bruen had a little grocer's shop.
