  1. In Derreenaseer there lived an old man called Johnny Mattimoe. His cousin Mick Walsh dreamed that at the back of Johnny's barn in an old sand-pit, which is there to this day, a crock of gold was hidden deep in the ground and was guarded there by a black cat.
    He was told that a big flag covered the crock and no man could move it by himself, but with the help of his brother Jack and Johnny Mattimoe he would get the "ciste".
    He had the same dream for three successive nights and then the three set
