  1. Marriage Customs
    When going for a drive an old pair of boots was tied on the back of the car in which the bride was, for good luck.
    The bride didn't go to the man's house for a week. Then the dragging home took place. The Bride wore something old and something new, something borrowed and something blue.
    There is a superstition about what the girl wears. The rhyme goes:-
    Married in blue "Love ever's true"
    Married in black you're shure to go back"
    Married in brown "you'll be far from a town".
