  1. A stroll was charming the Smmer morning,
With rod and line by the old mill stream,
It's cascade tumbling with deep note rumbling
I often think of that fairy scene.
The flowing river going on for ever,
By grove and heather it likes to stray
In graceful ardour to kiss the harbour,
    The lovely waters; Dunmanus Bay.
    2.
Some think it's pleasure, when at their leisure,
To shoot the snipe in the moors beyond,
Or chase the hare from its secret lair,
Or drive in splendour through cities grand.
In leading races with sweetest faces,
I've seen no brace of unrivalled play,
With pleasant boating like music floating,
On your lovely waters, Dunmanus Bay

O'er the crystal tide stands with lordly pride,
Dunmanus Castle - that ancient pile.
It's lofty dome once the chieftain's home,
When the Spets of old trod out saintly isle,
Round the balmy coves where I loved to rove,
Those sunny shoes on a holiday.
No care to fear but my boat to steer,
On your lovely waters, Dunmanus Bay.
