    For pure recreation I carelessly wandered alone
    By a clear crystal stream convenient to famed Gubbeen shore,
    I espied a fair maiden, she's the fair one I love and adore
    Her fine golden traces spontaneously in ringlets did flow,
    Her eyes animated displayed a pure vivid glow,
    Her voice more enticing than Cynthia on the Cyprian shore
    Or the harp of Orpheus, she's the fair one I love and adore
    Her carriage is neat, her waist is slender and small,
    Her breast elevated, her stature majestic and tall
    Her skin like the snow or the foam
