  1. In many parts of our country today, there still remains some remnant of the olden days, and these are the old customs of the people.
    I once saw a horse-churn being worked, at a farm house near Kingscourt, and when I asked how long it had been there, I was told it had been there for the last century, since the "good old days" when the country had been ignorant of the power of electricity.
