    Castlehaven has forded the Shannon,
    With the soldiers of brave Owen Roe,
    And hurriedly marching to meet him,
    Press forward the troops of Monroe.
    With Scots from the Clyde and Loch Lomand,
    And Puriton spears from the Tweed
    O'er the hills of Stradone and Blnvarra,
    And the meadows of Arva they speed.
