  1. In the village of Fore are many old ruins of the buildings of St. Fechin. Outside the village there is a well, the water of which will not boil. Over the well is a tree and it will not burn. This well is called "Tobar Naomh Feichín". It is the well in which St. Fechin is said to have stood in order to do Penance. It cures many things and its water is very useful to keep in the house. Something however small must be left at the well when water is taken.
