  1. There was a man living in Killoe some years ago and he went out one Hallow Eve night to rake the stacks in the name of the devil. He brought a comrade with him and told him what he was going to do.
    When he was finishing the raking of the last stack there suddenly came an awful wind. It lifted him up in the air and he began screeching. The other lad ran to the house and got holy water and threw it on him and he was let down on the ground again.

    This man is still alive, but he never raked the stacks since. (1937)
