    In the name of God.
    When lighting the lamp at night
    God give us the light of Heaven.
    God the Father bless me
    Jesus Christ defend and keep me
    The virtue of the Holy Ghost enlighten and sanctify me this night
    And keep me from all sin and all evil. Amen
    Sacred Heart of Jesus Mary be my refuge
    When entering a house people used to say
    "God save all here"
    People in house answer
    "God save you kindly"
    When passing people working in a field
    God bless the work.
    When a person is given a drink of milk he says
    "God bless the cows and the giver"
    When people see a new moon for the first time, they make the sign of the
