    The poets that were in the district long ago were;
    Thomas Moore,
    Patsy McAuliffe,
    John McDermot,
    Tom Burke,
    Patrick Galvin
    John Byrne.
    Patrick Galvin wrote "Kilkee by the ocean you are handsome " John Galvin was born in Kilkee and died about the year 1932. He was buried in Kilfera.
    Patsy McAuliffe was a painter. He died about 1933 and was also buried in Kilfera. He lived in O'Curry Lane Kilkee
    John Byrne (was a carpenter) and Thomas Moore were poets from birth. None of the poets parents were
