- (continued from previous page)A boy named James Fitzsimmons was drowned in the River Erne at Cornadara four years ago.
- Steamers used to come up the river Erne with goods from Eniskillen and they used to land at the Quay. The water was higher then than it is now. A passing steamer sank at the ducking stoll and last year some men found coal where it sank.. Trains did not come into Belturbet until the year 1885. When the trains came the steamers did not go out of use until a few years after. The place between the Quay and the bridge. At the slip they used to let the boats down into the water.
