  1. There is no tradition of saints about Belturbet. The church (is) is called after St. Mary.

  2. Clonsey is the oldest graveyard in this district. There is the ruins of an old monastery in it. Drumalee is the next oldest graveyard. There is a giant's grave in Lagan which is about three miles from Belturbet. The shape of it is
    1 Perch x 3 yards
    Area 161/2 yards.
