    Warts: Mrs Cassie McGovern of Belturbet has cure for warts. Gets nine rushes and throws away one on each day that the sufferer visits her. The days in this case were Mondays and Thursdays.
    Seventh son of a seventh son in this locality is believed to have the power of this cure.
    Mumps: An asse's bridle is put on the sufferer and he is led around a pig-sty three times.
