  1. There is supposed to be a hidden treasure in the Big Island ion the river Erne beside Belturbet. The treasure is supposed to be pots of money which the people of the district hid there when the English soldiers and the "Black and Tans" were raiding the houses after the rebellion of 1916.
Many men tried to get the money but they did not succeed. Last year Paddy Cassidy used to be digging every day but he found nothing.
