  1. A cure for warts is to get a black snail and rub it on the warts for nine mornings and when the nine mornings are up you should stick the snail on a gooseberry bush.
    Corns are cured by getting the fat of bacon and tying it on the corns for three days.
    A cure for hacked hands is to melt wax and rub it on them.
    Toothache is cured by chewing tobacco.
    A cure for a cold is to boil butter-milk and sugar and drink it and then go to bed.
    Chilblains are cured by rubbing the juice of an onion on them every night.
