  1. Dockins are sometimes let grow and ripen. Then they are dried and preserved and the seeds taken from them. These seeds are boiled and the juice is a very good cure for a cough.
    Chicken-weed and whins are pounded and are sometimes given to horses instead of oats and carrots.
