    "Battering Ram" and tumbled down the houses. On another occasion they were going to tumble my grandmother's house and to enter it they had to pass over a timber bridge. The previous night all the men of the place came and took up the bridge, and when the landlord arrived with his men he was disappointed to find no way of passing, and he never again attempted to tumble that house.

  2. Wesby was the landlord of this district. He lived in Killballyowen. He was looked on as a good landlord.
