    they had was boiling porridge sticks and stones. They barred the doors and windows from the inside so that the land-lord could not evict them. When they could not get in to the house of James Madigan, they used the battering ram knocked the wall of the house near the door. James was inside with his wife and brother-in-law, when the sheriff named "Crocker," thought to go in he threw the boiling porridge on him and kept him out till they ran short of porridge. Then "Crocker" beat James arrested him and brought him off to prison.
