    When we are driving or calling the animals and fowl we use different terms for them.

    When calling the hens we say "chuckie, chuckie". When we are calling the pigs we say "hurish, hurish". When calling the calves we say "suck, Suck". When calling the chickens we say "birdie, birdie". When calling the cat we sat "pish, wish".
    It is said if blessed palm is put up in the byre nothing happens to the cows.
