    Come on you thrifty ladies who live around the border

    Farmer Pat by Mr. John Kennedy, Teemore, Belturbet.
    Come on you thrifty ladies
    Who live around the border
    Who can rise a row, or ring a sow
    Or cure dogs from disorder.
    But I know one who can do the trick,
    With a pig or a dog or a hurley-stick,
    You must admit that they are quick
    Those ladies around the border.
    Farmer Pat put on his hat and seemed to be merry
    He started away on a Winters day
    And bought a pup from master Gerry.
    The deal was made and Pat came home
