    Some time ago it was the custom when a person was dead for to hold a wake for 2 nights and the corpse was not brought to the chapel until the day of the funeral
    On Christmas Day it was the habit for the people to have a log of wood on the fire and let it burn throughout Christmass. This log was called the yuletide log.
