  1. John Reilly was a very good mower
    He could mow an acre and a half every day with a scythe all the men in the district tried to mow more than him but the best of them could not mow half as much. No one could see him mowing in the day time. He used to rise at break of day in the summer mornings and be finished when the rest of the people would be rising.
