One night two men were coming home from the Miltown fair they were not far from Miltown when a red-haired woman sat up on the car

One night two men were coming home from the Miltown fair they were not far from Miltown when a red-haired woman sat up on the car and did not talk to the two men at all and after a length of time she disappeared. Another night as the same two men were coming home from Kilrush about eleven o'clock in the night and the same woman sat up on the car with them and they were not going far when she spoke to them and when they turned around they saw a fine house in a field which they never before remembered to see there and the woman said to them that they should sleep in that house that night. Then the two men took the harness off the pony and went into the house and ate their supper and went to bed and when the(y) awoke next morning they found themselves sleeping on the field in the open air.
