One night as a man named Daly was returning from a house which he was in the habit of visiting and the rain began to fall so he went into an old cabin near the road. He was not long there when he heard a great noise coming near the cabin and thinking it was the neighbours coming home from a fair which was held in Kilmurry he hid himself under some straw which was in the cabin.
He was just under the straw when the door opened and a number of cats came in and began dancing around the cabin. One of the cats stood up in his hind legs and said " we will have to put off the dance tonight when we have not Daly's cat to play for us". They then disappeared and Daly went home. The following morning as Daly was eating his breakfast the cat came in and he asked him why he did come last night to play for the cats. The cat looked at him and he went out the door and was never seen again.
