There is an old story told about a fort in Burrane.

There is an old story told about a fort in Burrane. One night when a man was coming home from a neighbouring house he was passing this fort and he saw an old man coming out of the fort and he stood in the middle of the road and stopped the man, and he asked him to go into the fort with him. The man refused to go at first, but the old man caught him and pulled him into the fort, and he kept him asking him questions for about an hour. Then he told the man that he could go home. The man was very much frightened and he went home as quickly as he could. When he went in his wife asked him what kept him, and he told her the whole story. She was greatly surprised when she heard the story. Next morning the man felt sick and his wife sent for the priest and he came and heard his confession and gave him Communion and anointed him. The man was very bad and after some time he died.
