  1. If a person was very cross you would say "he was as cross as two sticks."
    ."If a person was telling a story and began at the end of it you would say "he put the cart before the horse."
    If two persons were disagreeing about something and someone asked your opinion you would say "between them be it."
    If a person see something and the minute he sees it he wants it, we say "A hungry eye sees far."
    "Ask no questions and you'll be told no lies." If two persons were talking about something and another wanted to know what they were talking about.
    If a person was very contrary you would say "As contrary as the kind leg of a dog.
    "What you never had you never lost." means you needn't fret about a thing you never had.
    "The third time is the charm." Means if something happened you twice and you were nearly killed, the third time you would be killed.
