  1. The animals we have at home are cows, sheep, calves, goats, pigs, a horse and a donkey.
    The names we have on the cows are "Spotty", "Polly", "Dinny", "Bawny", and "The Big bow." When driving the cows in or out we usually say "Thris or "bhe" or Phorur-r-r-r-h and to calves "Sucky".
    The cowhouse is called the byre The cows are tied with chains to wooden stakes by the neck. Thieving cows are tied "head to foot" when let out.
    Long ago it was said that certain people could go in the form of a hare to the cows and take all the butter of the churning by taking a little from them
    We have a horse at home his name is "Charley". The house
