    It being in the pleasant month of May
    The day being clear and long,
    The fields were green, the valleys rang
    With Lark and Linnet's song;
    I was reconciled when nature Smiled, for to employ my quill
    To sound the praise of heroes brave
    "I mean the boys of Kill."

    Those boys are free and unity among them does abide
    They are well bred and of one mind
    They are devoid of pride
    To stand their cause and gain applause
    Their precious blood would spill
    The Cavalry roved out to see,
    The Shamrock Boys of Kill.

    If you were to see those gallant boys march down by Lavey strand
    With a green sash on each shoulder,
    And a broad sword in each hand
