    Heriocally defended the green, white and gold
    That waves o'er the flowers of young Breffni the brave.

    As we turn to salute thee brave Cavan, again,
    Our memory goes back to the sod,
    Where sprung from that soil true-hearted men
    Who first paced the future untrod,
    As your great predecessors at the bridge of Finea
    Fell for their country, their glory to save,
    You proved to be noblest in the Stadium fray,
    Young florescent flowers of Breffni the brave.
