  1. I. As I lie down in this bed to sleep,
    I give my Soul to God, to keep;
    if any evil happen me, the King of Glory set me free. There are four corners on my bed, there are four angels around my head, Mathew, Mark, Luke and John, God bless the bed that I lie on.
    II
    One Good - Friday after noon,
    A Jew came in with a sharp spear in his hand,
    He pierced our Saviour's body through
    The blood flew from heart to hand,
    His Virgin Mother standing by
    With a wearied heart and troubled mind
    Who ever shall say this prayer three times by night, three times by day,Shall never die in sin
    And the flames of Hell shall never enter them.
