- How to make Boxty Bread
Grate the raw potatoes and when grated strain through rag. Have some boiled potatoes and mix with raw ones. Get some flour in basin and a pinch of salt and mix with potatoes wet with some milk. Turn out on floured board. Cut in triangles and bake on griddle. Serve with butter.
- How to make Soda Bread Put flour into basin, add salt and soda. Mix with flour. Add cold sour milk and mix with a spoon to make a dough. Turn out on floured board and knead quickly. Form into a round cake. Make into four. Place cake in hot oven and bake for half an hour.
