    Cures
    In former times people did not go to the doctors as now.
    Whooping cough
    The sponers of the child would buy a red ribbons and tie it round the child's neck. To of the same name that was married would buy some sweets and give it to the child to eat. Give ferrets mile for cure of Whooping cough.
    Measles
    Pull nettles and make nettle tea give it to the child till measles would come out.
    Mumps
    To tie an asses halter round the child's neck drive it into the pig sty nine times and say muc a luca.
    Cure of Evil Eye
    What ever you suppose caused evil eye pull some of the thatch of the house or steal a piece of their clothes. Burn it under the person or animals foot or nose as a cure.
    Consumption
    Pull dandelion and eat with salt in the morning fasting.
