- May is supposed to be a very unlucky month for a marriage to take place.
On the wedding day when the bride and groom are getting married someone outside ties, old boots, and shoes, cans and old buckets, to the brides car and when the car goes through any town the people know it is a wedding party and they shout and cheer till the car is out of sight.
On the night of the feast straw boys visited the house they had blackened their faces and they were dressed in straw. They danced and sang, and then the people brought them in and gave them food and whiskey. - Informant
