  1. The cure of the wild-fire was effected by rubbing a gold piece (sovereign) on the part affected and by saying some prayer.

  2. To cure warts get a stone with a hole in it in which there is water. Dip the water in it for ten mornings and on the eleventh morning the wart will be gone.
