  1. As there is an old church on the edge of one of our fields, it is called the "Church Field."
    Adjoining this field is the "Mount field." It is called by this name, as there is a mount on top of a very high hill.
    In another field near our house are the ruins of an old castle. This is called the "Castle Hill".
    There is also a very pretty plantation in the centre of a field near our house. This is called the "Plantation Field".
    In Newstone, there is a field with a well in it called "St. Brigid's wesll". This field is called after her -- "St. Brigid's Field."
