  1. When the sea birds fly inland for food, when swallows and rooks fly low, when sheep flock together under bushes or trees, and when there is a red sky in the morning or a blue blaze in the fire, these are signs of stormy weather.
Fine weather is coming when the sky is rosy at sunset, when the sky is grey in the morning, or when there is dew or fog. If the smoke, when coming out of the chimney, goes up straight, we expect good weather.
Indications of windy weather are a bright yellow sky at sunset or ragged clouds.
