  1. The old people say that it is unlucky to change from a house to another or to start building a house, or ploughing, on Saturday and on Tuesday It is also unlucky to sink a grave on Tuesday.
    On May day the custom was to tie a bit of round berry bush with a red ribbon on the cow's tails so that they would not be over-lucked and people would clean the well on May Morning.
    Wednesday is lucky for marriages to take place. Thursday is an unlucky day to start strong work Friday is the best day to flit.
