  1. About half a mile out side of Mullagh on the back road to Kells, there are ruins of an old Church. It is commonly called "Roundtree's Church". The local people say that in Cromwell's time, he held one of his usual butcheries there. Men, women and children went in there to hide. Cromwell and his soldiers
