  1. The very old graveyard about 1/4 of a mile for our school got its name in this way:-
    An old hermit, called Kelly lived in a little stone-house in a field just beside the lake. There he prayed and acted like any other hermit. No one took very much notice of him.
    One day, during a severe Winter, a funeral was coming from Virginia to Moybolouge graveyard. A severe snowstorm was in progress. When they arrived at Kelly's hermitage, he saw them and went out and got into conversation with them as he pitied them for being out in such a storm.
