  1. Long ago, in the penal days there was a big price for priests' heads.
    A man in this parish wanted money badly and he planned with another man how they would get the priest and there-fore, the money.
    One said he would pretend he was sick, and be in bed and to let the other man go for the priest. When they had him into the house, they would kill him and thus earn the English money.
    The priest cam when he was sent for. The woman of the house opened the door and she said "Come in". The priest said "No, I am too late," and turned and walked away.
    The woman was too surprised to stop him. When she came to herself, she ran to the room where the
