    well is, a great many boys are called "Kilian."
    Our church is St Kilian's Church and there is a picture painted on the ceiling of the church of a bishop. The people believe it is a picture of St Kilian.

    A very blue flame in the fire, is a sign of snow and frost.
    When soot falls down it is a sign of rain.
    A "blow-down" of smoke foretells rain.
    When a cat scrapes a stick, a door, or any wood, it is a sign of storm.
