    Take a look if you will
    At that beautiful scene
    That surrounds Mullagh Lake
    That bright orient spring.
    And look at the hillside
    Soft sloping and green
    With its bushy crowned summit.
    Where warblers sing.
    It's neat wooded isles.
    interwoven with willows
    And the tall trees their shadows
    last over the deep
    While murmuring on
    Some the rolling willows
    That break on the shore
    and would lull you to sleep.
    On the opposite shore
    stands Mortimer's flowers.
    The tall spreading beaches adorn the land.
    It is there he is found.
    Midst his fruit and his flowers
    To relieve the distressed
    with a generous hand
