  2. St Brigid's Cross is made on St Brigid's Eve. Two sticks are got and carved in the form of a cross. Then rushes are plaited in and round the sticks. This cross is then put in the thatch to bring luck. It is called St Brigid's Cross, and it is kept for a year. These crosses are made by many people around here.
    A ribbon is also got and put outside the door and after St Brigid's Day it is called St Brigid's ribbon and when a person gets a headache it is put round their head to cure the
