hunger and none of them were left except the baby. After a couple of days the mother and father died and the baby was left alone. The baby would have died also but for the Blessed Virgin.
One night there was an old man going home and he stopped to rest on the window - sill when suddenly he saw a ray of light in the room and a woman sitting on a chair.
She had the child in her arms and she was wrapping it in blankets.
When the woman disappeared the man went in and found the baby lying on the bed and the blankets round it.
The child lived on and when she grew up she entered the convent and became a nun.
