- (continued from previous page)Fionn fought him and he won him. This boxing was in the townland of Bugesky. It was fought with the bare fists.
- Once upon a time a giant and a dwarf were friends and they used to go about seeking adventures. It is said that they came to Virginia and they fought a battle against two Turks.
The dwarf who was very brave gave one of them a most angry blow. It did the turk very little injury and lifting up his sword he struck off the poor dwarf's arm. He was now in a sad state but the giant coming to his help left the two Turks dead in a short time.
They now went up Murmod Hill and they fought against three monsters who were carrying off a damsel in distress. The dwarf was not quite so fierce now as before. But for all that, he struck the first blow which was returned by another(continues on next page) - Collector
