  2. Long ago, when people used to take the mumps in their throats, the cure in those days was:- their mother would make them get up at three o'clock in the morning and put a cloth over their eyes and walk them round the pig sty saying these words:-

    A mhuclach! A mhuclach! sin chugat do leicneach
